The silence of the desert touches the heart.
The silence of the desert has the power to touch the heart. In the immensity of such a dense emptiness, our true nature finds an echo. This one week silent meditation retreat will be held in a small area of the Sahara desert, camping in very simple conditions in nomad tents, and will combine group walks and meditations, time spent alone, and most of all, silence.
A time to connect with the heart of our being, where silence is presence.
A FEW WORDS CONCERNING OUR JOURNEY
This retreat is meant for all those who already have a meditation practice and who wish to further explore the depths of their being. To support this investigation, the trip will be entirely in silence from the moment we enter the desert to the moment we leave it.
The trip will be held in simple conditions:
-sleeping in tents upon the sand (tents for two people) or sleeping out in the open under the stars
-eating in Moroccan style sitting upon the sand
-simple toilets, and a tent with buckets containing very little water for washing
-moving around simply by walking
THE PROGRAMME
-walks for the two or three camp changes
-daily meditations, guided and in silence
-dharma talks by Denis Robberechts, and sharing circles
-free time to be alone in the desert

690 € from 1st december onwards
This price includes:
-Transport from/and to Marrakech airport
-Transfer to the place of stay and return journey
-Two nights in a Riad at the heart of the medina (half board)
-The nights spent in the desert in nomadic tents
-The meals (full board) during our time in the desert
-Mineral water in bottles
-A French speaking professional Berber guide
-The cook
-The cameleers and their camels
-The €15 euro membership to the association Amazigh Trekking
-3% dedicated to development projects
This price does not include :
-The plane ticket
-Cancellation and travel insurance
-The dharma teachings and support for the association Dharma Nature
-The €10 membership fee per person to the association Dharma Nature

REGISTRATION FOR THE TRIP:

Registration procedure:
1) Send us a €150 deposit by cheque payable to Dharma Nature to the address below:

2) Fill in the attached form (and send it back to us by email)
3) We will send you a confirmation email upon receipt of your deposit and registration form
Cancellation policy :
-In case of cancellation on our side, your deposit will be totally refunded.
-The deposit will be non-refundable from the moment we send you the confirmation email.
Please note: It is important to note that the trip will only be fully confirmed once we have attained the minimum number of 15 participants. Do not buy your plane ticket or travel insurance before having received this confirmation.
-Once the minimum number of participants for the group is achieved, you will be notified by email and you will then be able to register with the Amazingh Trekking agency (www.amazigh-trekking.com) to whom we’ll send your details and who will take care of the practical details of our trip (hotel reservations, transport, etc.).
-The trip is limited to 25 participants. If you have received this message a long time ago, send me an emai to check if there are still places left before you register and send your deposit.
